Note MeSo I did the photoshoot and now I'm about to send off the photos. Can't wait. Other than some drama with one of my memory cards, everything went smoothly.
After that, my course materials from the New York Institute of Photography finally arrived! I've already started reading the lessons and listening to the CDs and I really love the way it's laid out. It's quality material reinforced by solid audio discussions. At the end of each unit, I have to do a photo project based on specific criteria and then mail it in to get critiqued. I'm really looking forward to learner more about photography. It's so cool!
Last but not least, I have the best wife in the world! One of my favorite professional photographers, Bryan Peterson, is going to be in NZ doing a workshop when we're there in February. At first, I thought there was no way I could do it since the workshop would be on the south island and we would be visiting my wife's family on the north island, but my wife was adamant. It's too good an opportunity to pass up. So the deposit has been paid. How cool is that? I love my wife!

"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.
Henri Cartier-Bresson (French Photographer, 1908-2004)
